My name is Andrew. Andrew is Greek for ‘Strong’ or ‘Man Warrior’. I am named after Andrew, the first disciple of Jesus.

It’s true ! Intelligence is sexy.
Concerning the Amazons and the Scythians, you forgot to speak about Ossetic language in Kavkaz which is certainly the descent of the scythian language. The scythians had long hair and certainly had women fighters among them and that was certainly very striking for the Greeks who were terrible machos and used to be homosexuals.
    About my name PATRICK :
PATRICK is the english form for PATRAIG in irish that originates from latin PATRICIUS “belonging to the PATRES”, The PATRES “fathers” being the ruling class in Rome.

Hi teach - just catching up on my homework.

I found that “colin” meant the following :-

“Colin is a male given name. Like many given names, it has multiple origins, including:Colins are dumb idiots!!”

Homework was never my strong point, I think I know why.
I’m a dumb idiot - wikipedia says so.

    I need a “panadol” :-<

    My dear Marina,

I must confess, I am not sure where the origion of my name “WAYNE” comes from.

My friend says it has something to do with a wagon wheel.

Jackie = Jankin = John = Lohannes = Loannes = Yochanan = “YAHWEH is gracious”. And to think of all those “Jack jokes” I had to endear through high school. Then it was only those of a less than 100 IQ that told them everyday.

Amazing them Amazons :???: Maybe they should have invented the crossbow? Better for their physical balance I would like to think.

    Hi,

My name is Nicholas. Which I have learned that my name means people’s victory. I’m not sure where it originated from, I would like to know.

runawayscott replied on March 18th, 2008 8:48 am:

It comes from the Greek word NIKE (like the sneaker) which means victory, it is also the nameof a godess of victory or a label for small cherub looking guys seen in rennassaince paintings representing victory

heheh yea, if you’ve ever seen a picture of the Statue of Zeus, Zeus holds Nike in one of his hands. ( very small, but then zeus is god of all gods, so of course he’d be like a freakin gigantor )
