Little long, but funny. :) For some reason I got a laugh out of, “Let’s make America the most competitive in the world.”

Actually, I think Andrew could run for president this year and win with this proposal/slogan. God knows, I’d vote for him. Great work Andrew!

That could be the worst thing ever! I’d still be in high school. Who would want to graduate? People would be like: “I don’t understand, you’ve had perfect attendance for 5 years and you’re still failing!!!”

The school district I work for has a slogan called “every day counts”.
I am sure if we adopted this new policy, every day would count, and there would be fewer absent students.

Dropping out of school would be totally out of the question.
Wow, we might actually have a lot more people getting their diplomas the first time ’round.

Did you get my gossip comment? I left this on youtube:
People like gossip because it’s always fun to watch people who have a more miserable life than you, or just envy people who live a better life. It’s human nature ;)
    Hope you like it ;)
    Bye!

Like I’ve said before.. If my teachers were more like Marina then I think I would have been a much better student and not turn out like I am today.

Marina for President or at least let her run the department of education.

No truancy. Literate graduates. Dads that show up for every parent-teacher conference. We could enter an utopian age of enlightenment.

    No Dude-ett’s ??????????????

Marina replied on January 27th, 2008 7:24 pm:

Well.. in that case.. we will just have to insist that dude refers to women as well!

snarkbutt replied on February 25th, 2008 1:49 am:

Dude can refer to an ignorant ignoramus or foolish fool, or sometimes a similar description as ‘metrosexual,’ with the connotation of well-kemptedness, though in an ignorant way, susceptible to being swindled or unfit for life outside of its hovel, and has no gender specificity, but if you must assign it one, use dudine for the female form as it is as old as the ‘male’ form.

The word also sounds like a separate term for elephant or llama excrement, but that is unlikely the root.

Primarily, however, my point is that it is a derogatory term by most usage and not something to be sought or revered, but in the case of this video, the definition is entirely different.

    snarkbutt…

LOL - :)) Funny comment in the context of the video.

I think it’s evolved into quite simply - a friendly and non-friendly way to address someone when you don’t know their name.
