Bye bye indeed, I ship out for the army the 20th. Don’t worry I’m Greek, so this will be cake. Unfortunately -you- will be missing out on my comments for a while. I know this might seem as a downer considering I’ve been a member for so long (these past 2 weeks) but Im sure you will be able to manage.
Good morning teacher.
Happy Valentine’s Day and congratulations on your 100th.
I am new to your site. After stumbling across you on veoh, falling heels over head, I found myself intrigued , hmmm there is a word to investigate.
You are absolutely gorgeous and quite unique. I am glad you exist in this space time.
I wonder… do you have a way to notify users if a word has been investigated?
I would hate to waste your time , or whom ever filters through this, by asking for words that you have covered.
I look forward to your Valentine’s Day card and hopefully several hundred more videos.
Keep up the great work.
Sincerely,
David
Hi Marina
Happy 100th birthday i hope you reach the 1 million so we can have tha chance to learn words from you.(you will be little old until then but i’m sure you will still be hot
) .
how about the meaning of a word we use every day ”The word OK.” whats the origin of that word and why it means everything fine.
cheers antwnis
U.S. President Van Buren was nicknamed, “Old Kinderhook”. I don’t know why. Public frequently referred to him as OK. Later popular U.S. word games generated the, “orl korrekt” phrase instead of, “all correct” which was often abbreviated to OK. I think that “orl korrekt” is the actual origin as this provides the meaning. As opposed to, “Old Kinderhook” Unless it happened like this, “How’s it going?” “It’s going like Old Kinderhook!” Which is a mouthful and became abbreviated to OK. For one of the most popular responses in the world it doesn’t have that interesting of an origin, not bad, just OK
buzzword
Marina,
#1 — You’re hot.
#2 — I was always curious about the word ‘cop’ as in a police officer, but also the phrase ‘cop a plea’ Are they related? How?
#3 — Congratulations on 100 videos
#4 — You’re hot.
Hi Marina, i was wondering if you could find the origin of “Dead as a Doornail” ive always wanted to know how that came about. Thanks and congratulations on your 100th Video! Hope you have a Happy Valentine’s Day – 1Lung
Marina, do you have any tatoos?
Where does the word tatoo come from anyway?
The next word should be convenience!
Marina,
I am a musician, and one of the instruments I play is the piano. I know this used to be called the pianoforte, and I know this reflects that the instrument can play both loudly and softly(or in Italian, piano and forte) but my question is why the name of the instrument got shortened to simply piano.
Thanks!
