New stuff on the website
I chose the most heavily trafficked day for my website to add some new stuff, but hey.. it seems to have worked out!
Speaking of heavily trafficked.. how about yours truly 
Anyway… I added a couple new things to the website…. first off.. you can have these cute pictures next to your comments now. They are called “gravatars” which are Globally Recognized Avatars would that be part acronym part portmanteau? You can find out how to add one to your account by going to the new HELP section that I have also added. It’s in the menu, upper right. Or you can click here.
That’s it. I hope you have been enjoying my lessons.

I was curious if there was some logic behind not having a bulletin board, or if it just hadn’t occurred to you yet? PhPBB and SMF (Simple Machines Forums) are free and (relatively) easy to set up.
Just a thought. Might be you are purposefully avoiding forums like the plague. They can get difficult to monitor.

Hey Marina, web site is quality. You have many guises which is great. Keep mixing up the various hair styles, it’s all good. You do look more, formal with hair down, more teach like however, all that you do is great.
I guess things like your twin calling you a Bitch, is letting you down a bit….I can understand the intent however feel unecessary for HFW, you are much better than that! However, you can pull it off regardless and make good. Not suggesting you should always speak the Queens English and avoid all things creative, experimental,questionable or fun. You, and your sister, are both hot, despite your differences! As mentioned in slang word posts, you could tap in more with the younger generation, have a kids class room. Really feel schools should get involved helping so many kids to learn with you. The kind, sincere, fun, beautiful Marina is ideal for such. The twin aspect with slang words should be seperate, for the lads, so to speak!
Regarding the request a word section, all good. If you were to have an in house dictionary on the site, it could make for a ever more captivated class room! Interactive with OED maybe, more hits for them too!
Science, can that be sexy? I guess you have proven it can be with the Atom video. Sciences have some amazing words and origins, tounge twisters some of them but ever so interesting. Am a bit if a marinbiology geek at heart so I teach the G-Sibs as much as they will allow!. You however, got them going on the languages front. As a result, I have been learning Thai language as they seem to find it facinating. How we got there, I will never know but again, it’s great fun to do with them as they really enjoy. They look over world maps and engage on geographical topics, ask about different cultures. They lose them selves, lost in the sea and outta space and all because of the origins of words. So you open many minds and have a great effect, on everyone. Just think there is a massive market you can work with.
Regarding home work assignments. Forgive me if I am wrong but do you have dead line as to when all should be erm, handed in?! Only, sometimes due to work and so on, I may miss a few days or a week and either Im too late and find time spent catching up on many more videos. Maybe have a flag on the videos, green for get your answers in and red for out of time……! Some seem to be done quickly and some are still pending, I think? Dislike missing out on lessons thats all so maybe asking for a little more time or regularity…..not a routine fan as such but would be good to have a regular cut off point.

The BBC have a great show called QI. It would be fantastic if you were to do a show or two. (Just thinking promotions, a head of time maybe) - the show is quick witted and knowledgable, covering all sorts of meanings and origins both words and people. Worth a think on.
We have witnessed various rooms that you record from. More work but how about more staging with back drops relating to different themes and topics? The cartoon pets are cute and fun. Also, when you say ‘HFW decided to investigate’ could have a Sherlock Holmes look, but Marina stylie, a large magnifying glass with eyeball enlarged scurrying through the dictionary…..hhmmmm, a bit secret service or Private Investigator-ish…..????

Love the lessons and all that you do. Being 1st and 8th is crazy, just get use to it, is it 50,000 subscribers now? How about, an e mail to us subcribers that we can forward on to freinds and so on, to get them to log on to your web site? I always promote you but I feel having something directly from HFW’s may grab their interests a bit better than I can do, being a bloke an all that!
Like the photo spot for subscribers. Sorry, forgotten what they are called, ….a bit small maybe….are we able to add mini motion captions? On thaivisa.com if you were to look, they have these and some look quite funky. Short clips or annimations.

His dentures amost fell out

I liked the new “Guess the correct word origin” spinning graphic. It’s just one more indication of how you are evolving creatively.
I like it too it seems a bit new & retro(almost 60’s ish) at the same time, but I’m sure I saw it before on an older quessing game.

First of all, congratulations on your success with this wonderful site! I accidentally found your site today through the April Fools joke that youtube placed. They had all of their featured videos linked to one site, but the user link still sent the person to the actual site listed. I found your site and was hooked from the start.
This is a wonderful way to work on vocabulary and philology and I plan on encouraging my high school aged son to attend your lessons (provided you don’t object….). What better way to encourage a young man to improve his English?
Striving for the best in all you do is a sign of intelligence. And intelligence is sexy. So keep striving for the best for your website if you want to keep it sexy. Pretty solid logic, I think.
