I be such a spiffy eavesdropper, I even spent twenty minutes building a medium range espionage system using a laser pointer and photocell for that express purpose. I have occasionally used it, to varying boring and interesting results, most notably discovering that Professor Rickram, our Philosophy teacher, was really a spy for the Nefarious Snark (me), without me even knowing it, which was weird, I must admit. I later confronted him and found out he had me confused with the Nefarious Snark in Amsterdam, who apparently knows nothing of implied trademark (though I hate trademark myself). Also, what about the complete name for Titin? As it is 189,820 characters long, I would spare ye even if I could remember it. ‘Tis the longest thing what can be considered remotely an English word. I would like to see someone miserably attempt to say it in a single breath, though they would probably die or pass out from oxygen loss first, and that would just “suffocate” the fun, if you will pardon the incredibly idiotic and ineffective pun.

  • Duh!
Mesuspects that lostforwords is correct. This seems like the most simple answer is correct, and that ‘duh’ is supposed to sound like an ignorant or stupid sound of confusion or whayevs, hence the exaggerated Duuuurrrrrr! (often with a squeal or gestures which remind one of down syndrome, though infinitely exaggerated.
  • No Dude Left Behind!
Dude can refer to an ignorant ignoramus or foolish fool, or sometimes a similar description as ‘metrosexual,’ with the connotation of well-kemptedness, though in an ignorant way, susceptible to being swindled or unfit for life outside of its hovel, and has no gender specificity, but if you must assign it one, use dudine for the female form as it is as old as the ‘male’ form.

The word also sounds like a separate term for elephant or llama excrement, but that is unlikely the root.

Primarily, however, my point is that it is a derogatory term by most usage and not something to be sought or revered, but in the case of this video, the definition is entirely different.

  • Break a Leg
This rather amusingly phrased word is used often by those who know not its source, and is stereotypically associated with sea pirates, which may have something to do with its origin. The word is ‘Scallywag,’ and though it is not a commonly accepted ‘real’ word, I still wish to know its origin.
P.S. All words are artificial, so which are real?
P.P.S. By that matter, what is the source of the word stereotype? I think it has been around longer than the stereo, so what is the origin of that term and/or prefix as well?
