There is a branch of linguistics dedicated to the innate use of words. That somehow human beings who share a language family, or language for that matter, use the same or similar sounds for words that have similar meanings. Ex. glisten, glitter, gloria, glad. Ex lolly, lengua, language, lambaste, lick, lap[up],
