In Pagan Arabia, before Islam was revealed unto them, there was a recognized diety named Ilah(EElah). The Pagan Arabs thought that Ilah was the Lord of the Universe, but, they were still Idol worshippers.
They had the belief that angels, the other Idols in Arabia and other worshipped statues were the sons and daughters or kin of Elah.

The word Ilah, linguistically, can be used such that there is more than one Ilah.
You have one Ilah, which can be transformed to 3-infinity ilat according to Arabic grammar.

The prefix Al in Arabic is used to mean “THE”. Al-Qaida=The Base, otherwise you would have Base, which can be transformed to Qaidat=Bases.
In the same manner Al-Ilah=The ONE and ONLY DIETY, LORD, MASTER, CREATOR, SUSTAINER, THE ONLY TO BE WORSHIPPED.
The I in Ilah was truncated(removed), so that there is only Al-Lah or Allah, so that there can be no manipulation of the name of Allah according to the rules of Arabic grammar such that you can have more than one Allah.
Pure worship of the ONLY Creator of all that is seen an unseen is what the word Allah means and entails.

Arab Christians have ignored the rules of Arabic grammar and because of the Trinitarian doctrine of the Church have written the name Allat, which doesn’t make any sense in Arabic and easily proven to be false.
Ilah=Lord, it can be pluralized. Then you introduce Al=THE and write Allah=The ONE and ONLY bereft of all plurality. But the Arab Christians have tried to introduce plurality into a system that by design negates it.

Allah is free from partners both in real life and linguistically.
In Arabic we say SoobhanAllah=Allah is Perfect, free from imperfections and distortions.
