Congratulations on your book deal Marina!!

This book will be an awesome way to get more people interested in all things etymology as not everyone would use or have access to the internet.

I wish you the best of luck with getting your book completed, I know we will look forward to expanding our knowledge

(about the radio show) It was a fun show I cracked up when Stretch was saying maybe he should go to russia and say puntanka and vodka I’m sure he’ll live his dream someday

If I read this rightly, part of the origin of ‘calendar’ was from the word ‘Kalends’ which is supposed to be the ‘beginning of the month’ for the Roman Calendar’.
Apparently (If I read this right), the Roman Calendar started off with 10 months a year. 6 months with 30 days and 4 months with 31 days, and the year started from March. And as time went on the missing 61/62 days were eventually added.
