I hate to correct the teacher, but I just watched this wonderful work on the word Forte and I noticed that you posted the word “Situps” while you were actually doing “crunches”…

Normally I wouldn’t say anything, but as this is a class about the meaning of words, I had to mention it….

I would prefer not to label myself as either democratic or republican… I would rather say I am fiscally conservative and morally liberal.. I find that the labels are confusing as the views of any one individual are diverse… at least hopefully they are…

In any regard. Given that I am fiscally conservative I would like to know where the word conservative comes from…. If you can indulge my request I promise I will be very liberal in my voting….

I actually learned about the sleeping patterns among other things at a class I took while visiting Zion National Park. I am sure there are many out there – I would search for Bat Sleeping patterns on Google or Ask… I did a search and this is one of the links I found, but there are really a number of them…

Homework… With extracredit…
Animals sleep the least, well it’s really a toss up.. From a mammal perspective the Giraffe is really the one requiring the least amount of sleep. Some horses only sleep for 2 hours… I know the Roe Dear sleeps about 3 hours…

Extra Credit: The mammal that sleeps the most is the Bat which sleep about 20 hours a day… and in the 4 hours they are awake they can eat more than their weight in insects… Yummy….

My word request for the day is: bikini…
I mean I know that the bi must refer to the number 2 … but what is a kini?
