Hi wetsuit5, looks like they didn’t implement any automatic voting stops. Probably on Monday, they’ll lock the login or the votes. I think any additional votes past the deadline will just get rejected anyway.
The sponsor Element Pictures, LLC in LA will do the final selection. I couldn’t find anything about them, except an Irish company. The LA company has an IMDB entry, but you have to have a Pro account to find out who the representatives are.
By the way, you know how you had mentioned Trippy being underhanded and such. I read in the Offical Rules and it said that you would have to have releases of other people in the video
If Marina gave a verbal OK for the footage (or even if it was email), maybe she can rescind the OK, thereby making him ineligible. Payback, right?
The rules required that the work be “ORIGINAL”.
The work of Marina included in his submission is not “HIS” original work.
Thus he violated the rules.
Marina can give permission.
She can’t sue him for it’s use.
But he can’t use it as his original work in any circumstance.
Marina’s submission is completely original, including the music.
And besides the artistic intelectual idea behind his entry was plagerised from Marina as well.
