O’Reilly Factor Show – More Political Words
Here is my third appearance on the (Bill) O’Reilly Factor Show. I discussed the origins of some political words, Liberal, Conservative, Libertarian and Socialist.
Also.. after you watch it, please email Bill and thank him for having me on. Here is his email: oreilly@foxnews.com

Liberals protect criminals like this.
A suggestion: If you haven’t seen “Dirty Harry” and you can actually set aside some time, watch it, it’s great
Uh, I just thought you did great…and I didn’t feel the need to know more about you until 3 more times on the same show…
Now you might have a hard time getting rid of me.
What does that tell you?
Marina talks to the bastard and I smite him. Its called a relationship.
Hi Marina – I have to agree with the comments below – you are too hot for Bill O’Rielly…hope to see you on the Colbert Report or perhaps the Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
By the way – your pedagogic style is awesome!
Marina is a genius!
God Bless America! We attracrt women that are not only HOT but damn intelligent!
Marina, you are too hot for Bill O’Rielly! Cobert is off the wall, (but funny) Jon Stewart will make you happy, I promise.
Please go on the Colbert Report… It’s like the O Reilly but less pretentious, and a lot smarter
You are so.. pretty and genius
i love you
The Bill O’Reilly factor, Kudo’s and great job u aced every word. Good with the rest of your career bye
Too bad he didn’t ask you about the origin of the word “maverick.” Now THAT might have been entertaining…
Fox is the right place for you to make 3 appearances since you are definitely a “Fox”. I am referring to the classy beautiful intelligent lady that you are. Foxy in that you can “out fox” the “O’Reilly”.
I think CNN should demand equal time.
I consider it very positive….:-)
Hello I LOVE the work you do on words origins. This is my first request, and I would like to know how we started using the term: okie dokie.
p.s. I watch EVERYONE of your youtube videos and love them all.
p.s. You’re beautiful
My dearest lady. I really loves your doing, your way to express what a word can mean. especially word i can not understand. I speak for all people who do not speak english very well..you are the perfect one..
and the most perfect one..really in my opinion..
“Why were you holding up three fingers…for four?”
Because she held three fingers up and the extended thumb, which is used as a counting finger in Eastern Europe (Germany as well)
1. Thumb
2. Thumb + Forfinger
3. Thumb, Forefinger + Middle
4. Thumb, Forefinger, Middle, Ring Finger.
This was already discussed here:
http://www.hotforwords.com/2008/06/12/funny-post-about-counting-with-your-fingers/
You’re smart
Avocado.
Just discovered your site. I think it’s great
Bill is some talker!
He certainly stole a couple of your lines, didn’t he?!
You were great. It seemed like it was live, even though it was recorded.
I e-mailed Bill in thanks.
Nice to see you again, by the way! *hugz*
Marina:
Liberal means free from consequence.
The US says “Spreading liberty. Liberate the country.”
“Liberty will ring in America.”
So now you have gays and promiscuous sex. People doing drugs. You got Liberty.
The world always did have gays, my friend.
Their oppression and persecution did not, and never will, alter that basic underlying fact.
Homosexuality is a naturally occurring phenomenon. So, I assure you as a mathematical certainty, there are, on average, just as many gays wherever you live as anywhere else on this planet. Exactly the same ratio.
But in lands where it is oppressed, they just keep quiet about it – and are force to live a lie – for fear of alienation and persecution (and even death, in some places).
But, trust me, they are there amongst you, in exactly the same numbers as every other country on the planet. That’s just plain fact.
It’s innately biological. You can’t outlaw it from happening with “laws”.
All you can do with laws is choose to persecute an innocent for your ignorant superstitions, or choose to face reality.
You can choose evil to destroy a person’s life for no actual good reason but your irrational fear, or you can choose to do good to your fellow man and woman and accept them for how they are.
That is the only choice that’s available. That’s what it all boils down to.
Do you choose to be evil or do you choose to be good?
Choose wisely, my friend. Choose very wisely indeed.
I shall be blatant. In the lands you speak of where homosexuality is persecuted, the Middle East, it forms as a result of separation between the genders.
Places like the US however it forms as a result of fetishism. Males and females have a “been there seen that” attitude towards the opposite gender. I shall not say more about that.
Sex and sexuality should be a taboo subject, not something flaunted openly. That is the basic fact. No Gay Pride parades or any parades where sexuality is something to be proud of.
(This forum won’t allow replies more than two deep, so I’m adding this as a reply to your first comment, but I am actually addressing your second comment. Bloody technology, eh?)
You mean “blunt”, not “blatant” (pardon the semantical nitpick, but this is a forum about the use of words, after all).
Anyway, you are labouring under a common misapprehension – homosexuality is not a choice. It’s a natural state of being.
Homosexuality occurs throughout the Animal Kingdom. Gay animals consistently show homosexual behaviour.
If it were a choice, then you’d be implicitly crediting these animals with a capacity to make an intellectual “lifestyle choice” – a capacity that is not observable in any other regard.
How would you logically explain such observations otherwise?
Also, the Americans devised a scientific test – it was designed for use in the military, during conscription, in order to objectively test if someone who claimed to be gay was actually telling the truth and not just saying so to get out of military service (due to the active prohibition of homosexuals in the US military).
It is, simplistically, a lie detector for sexuality.
The way it works is that it actually monitors brainwave activity and then straight and gay pornography is shown to the subject.
There is no way to consciously fool this test because it is directly measuring your brainwaves. And the results of using it categorically demonstrate that it is not a choice. The subject’s brainwave activity corresponds exactly to their sexuality.
They are gay. They’re not just saying they are gay as if it’s a choice, they actually are on a measurable biological level. It’s right there and directly observable.
There are many statistical evidences that also back this up, including clear behavioural traits before puberty even kicks in – thus, it cannot logically be attributable to “fetishism” or “choice”. As it can be measured to manifest before active sexuality even happens.
And the correspondence of multiple different and independent measures of it being naturally occurring which have been complied, is itself a form of yet more proof, in the sense that the statistical likelihood of them all matching up like this by sheer coincidence is negligible.
Homosexuality is natural and biological.
But don’t take my word for it. Go examine the evidence – in both directions – for yourself and come to satisfy yourself that this is, indeed, true. That is the only way you’ll believe it, in the end.
And note my confidence that I am willing – encouraging, even – of you making that inquiry yourself. Because I know what the evidence is and I know that the only way you can conclude differently – if you’ve really looked into the subject deeply – is to ignore it in preference to taboo and mythology.
Which, bluntly, is the active suppression of the truth.
If you’re confident in what you say, then you should have no fear whatsoever in making that inquiry. If it is true, then the evidence can only prove you right, yes?
No empirical evidence can prove what is factually true to be false. Indeed, the only way to hide the truth, is to hide the truth.
To, as you’ve advocated, make the subject taboo. Not say anymore on the matter. Keep it hidden. Keep the truth secret.
But, if you’re right, then what is to fear from the truth?
Nothing. It should only prove you correct all along.
If this is a matter of faith to you, then isn’t avoiding the issue and not examining its truths a profound demonstration of a very tangible lack of faith?
You won’t test the truth because you don’t have faith that the answer will be the one that you wish.
But, again, I won’t labour the point. If you don’t see it for yourself, then you’ll never believe it whatever I say.
So, do you have the courage to put your faith to the test?
And, oh yes, it takes courage. Immense courage.
You might discover – as I did – that the faith you cleave to is wrong and that you’ve laboured under a misapprehension for all this time.
Because, you see, I’ve been there and done that. I am an apostate.
And life is much better – vastly better – out here on the outside. I don’t mean that merely hedonistically, but spiritually and intellectually and emotionally. I was a prisoner beforehand without even realising it – believing myself free, when I was, in fact, caged by irrational fear.
But, to finish, let me make one final argument.
Let’s suppose, purely for the sake of argument, that you are right. That it is merely a “fetishism”. Then what of it?
What is the consequence of tolerating others to their own private fetishes on your life personally?
None. None whatsoever.
It is not a “fetishism”. But were it such, you’ve not presented any decent argument whatsoever of any kind, why such a thing should be taboo and prohibited anyway.
So, really, what is your reasoning for that?
Blatant has the meaning of Obvious as in “Blatant liar”, an obvious liar.
I commented to illustrate what the meaning of libetry is. If you want liberty, you want freedom from consequence.
In America you cannot talk about anything without delving into the stupid and idiotic topic of sex. Americans seem to have brains in the pants. I bear witness that I said “So now you have gays and promiscuous sex.” So you can point to me and say “You started it.”
If you want to be free, you want to do what you want to do regardless of whether you are doing righteous and good things or wrongdoing. That is the real meaning of Free.
The real meaning on Liberty is the removal of consequences. “I want to walk in the streets wearing a Swastica shirt.” There will be many ready to sue you for hate or inciting hate. Why doesn’t the same rule hold for people cursing or wearing revealing outfits? Instead of inciting hate those that wear such clothing and cursing take humanity to the filthy part of human nature. There are better things to be doing than thinking about sex or wanting to curse.

Dear Marina,
I couldn’t believe what I saw. I thought you were an intelligent woman adressing people in an intelligent way, and I loved and admired you for this. And I thought your mission was to educate people and to make them think about words. These word explanations, however, are a clumsy piece of badly masked propaganda. No matter what your political views are – even if you are the capitalist, right-wing, republican-loving conservative you appeared to be in the show – you should still be a philologist in the first place, if that’s what you promise to be, and this means: someone who loves the study of words – not someone who loves to please an elderly TV moderator. I’m sorry to say this, but some of your explanations reminded me more of something Sarah Palin could have done than of your usual self. I’d like to have the other Marina back – clever, critical and funny!
mijj? o brother, where art thou?
WTF…talk about a partsian leaner…you need to chill out dude or I should say take it easy. He happens to have the number one rated show for about ten years on cable for your information. I suspect you are a lover of MSNBC which is fine if that is your cup of tea
. It is a free country and if she appeared on Obermann, you probably would be gushing with love and that makes you a hypocit
So, try to not lose faith since she appears on the most popular cable show in the history of cable and continue to love her for what she does best and not what you interpret incorrectly. You may not like the comments but there are many things in life you do not like and you can add this to your long list
I realise this is an old post but I’m just now discovering this site and happened upon your comment.
I have to admit that I too, like missphil, am somewhat dissapointed that Marina has appeared on Bill O’Reilly’s show, not just once but three times, though maybe not to the same degree. I do realise her appearance on the show is good exposure for her. The only problem I have is that I cannot stand the guy. Not because of his right-wing beliefs but rather because of the way he presents them. In my opinion, the man has no respect for anyone whose beliefs diverge too far from his. I am pretty confident that if you look it up you will not find one example of the word “guest” as being someone who is the target of disrespect. Mr. O’Reilly often manages to change the meaning of this word in the way that he treats his “guests”, usually by being condescending to them and not allowing them to express their opinions. Unless, of course, they carry the same agenda as him.
If his show truly is, as you claim, the most popular cable show in the history of cable, then I must say that it is testimony to the sad state of affairs in the US. But that is just my humble opinion.
Marina, where does the word “crissum” come from?
Yes, I’d be curious to know what sort of pancake make-up they slap on Bill’s face and what is Paris Hilton doing in the House Of Wax remake??? I’ve heard HD television does wonders for your appearance.
i notice now, Marina, that you look significantly different (better) in the O’Reilly videos. Is that your normal day-to-day presentation, or is it a fox studios makeup thing? Definitely a three dimensional human being … the HFW videos by comparison look like you’ve exaggerated your eyes/mouth (to an extent) and washed out the contours of your face and gone for the “beauty” thing. Is that due to the constraints of lighting? Or is that what you were aiming for? Did you ever experiment with altering the way your features are presented and tone down the beauty?
Marina – when’s the next O’Reilly appearence due? … Have they given you a hint when it might be? Have they suggested you would be a regular?
LOLOLOL….Marina, don’t let the package fool ya
That is a great line……………KUDOS Bill……use that one Marina and give Bill his props…And intelligence is sexy
Has as usual
Marina, I first learned of you on O’Reilly, i never miss his show or Hannity and Colmes, I can tell Bill really likes you, you have a way of combining wit and sex that comes off very wholesome, not an easy feat. Bill will make you famous and rich by allowing you the national platform. He wants to attract younger viewers without MTV trash types who hate America and live babies. Your natural innocense and authenticity are very attractive and captivating. I will email Bill every time he has you on, many times over, because I to would like to promote your carreer. You would make a great politician to solve US and Russian tensions. Think big Marina because you are gigantic!
a summary of Marina on the Bill O’Reilly show …
Arent you being a bit too hard on her?…
yes! .. way too hard. It makes me cringe that i was so arrogant.
Dear Marina,
Thank you for your interesting comments on the show. I thought you would like to know that the term “liberal arts” has a much more grand heritage than what you implied. The traditional liberal arts curriculuum was designed to create the “free man,” that is, an individual who by virtue of his learning the principles of all the core disciplines can judge any conclusion or theory in any of the disciplines. He is thus “free” because he can form his own, reasonable, judgments without blind reliance on those who are expert in the field. The traditional liberal arts are 7 in number: the Trivium — logic, rhetoric, grammar and the Quadrivium — geometry, astronomy, arithmetic and music. Those who are schooled in this the “art of thinking” truly live the life of the mind. There is a school not far from LA, north 1 hour or so at the foot of the Los Padros forest that teaches this art.
I truly enjoy your insightful studies of words because they go beyond just the meaning, they reach into human nature, its humor and creativity. I somehow feel more connected to my fellow humans when I learn from you.
My very best to you, your family and your doggy.
Louie
In a looser sense this “free man” sounds like a learned Jack Of All Trades wich does not rely on the Masters of any single “trades” to get the job done. This makes good sense when a problem with many facets arises,He could have Masters as advisors and make intelligent decisions based on his life experiences *and* advice from specialists. Find this person and ellect him/her President Of The World. Oh,and make sure the Prez comes from a modest background so as to understand the state of the worlds *real* workers,,,,nuthin else will do.
If the above sounds all wrong please just disregard,I took an extra pill.
tryant
Dear Tyrant,
You are modest; your observation is a good one. There is a great book by Yves Simone called “A General Theory of Authority.” It discusses the necessity of a decision-maker — a tyrant being the most extreme example of such. And it seems to me that the “free man” is best suited to receive advice from the experts/masters and make the best decision on behalf of all. I am reminded of Plato’s philospher-king, who understood the principles of human action that he made the best ruler. Does the best ruler have to come from working class? At the least the best ruler has to have had a solid upbringing, and maybe that usually comes from the middle class. But I think that success and wealth in private life can inure an individual to temptations for corruption in public office too.
Louie
I knew this id would cause problems, lol,it’s tRyant, not tYrant..
I don’t see a tyrant ever being a good leader, staying in power does not equate with “good” in my way of thinking. One would have to understand the phrase “fair accross the boards” 1st,then live it,then help it become as much a reality for others as being leader allows. Of course in a world nearing 7Billion,and,with big money already wielding power,I wouldn’t envy such a leader that task.
I believe man’s propensity to take advantage of everything, even neighbors, comes from waayyyy back in time,it was once an evolutionary survival tactic just as much as working together was/is,if it works, man will try it,,,right, wrong,or in-between.
Well Louie,I think We think alike in many ways,You seem to have far more schooling, but, the basics are common I’ll guess.
tryant
Tryant, sorry for the misspelling. By definition a tyrant is one who makes decisions in his self-interest and not in the interest of the common good. I think there are examples of good monarchs and bad ones and they break down usually as ones who really seek the good of the nation versus those who just want power. Perhaps Marina can comment on how she views V. Putin in this light? Some I am sure would say that his strong control in Russia after Yeltsin brought wealth and prosperity to a large part of her citizens and so he is a good autocrat. Regarding your point about man’s propensity to take advantage of everything for himself — I think our Founding Fathers understood this well and set up the system of checks and balances we have in our Constitution. But this propensity does not define man. There are so many acts of selflessness, nobility, courage and sacrifice today and in history and these too defined our nation’s beginning. Tryant, I think we do think alike. Thank you for commenting. It is nice chatting with you.
Louie
Radiant, as always, Divine Miss M. Mr. O has obviously succumbed to your charms, as you are about the only guest he doesn’t constantly interrupt.
Quite the radical haircut though, Miss M. Cute as it is, you leave us longing for the golden locks when it was much longer. There should be a law against gorgeous blonds cutting their hair. lol
Hope the powers that be at Fox recognize your talents and give you your own gig soon.
Actually caught me off guard on this one M. no prior knowledge of the show. Thanks for posting it here & yes, I digg it that you are getting recognized for your abilities & personality, “don’t let the package fool ya”. Now that Bill & Stretch are getting to know you, the flow of conversation is a little more comfortable to watch & listen to. You do well & the hint of another return… possibly a regular bit, on “the factor”, forshadows getting to do your own stuff & edit etc. Well I think that would be cool.
Before you get too famous I want a signed pic. (head shot) of you to put up in our office, (we stop work, to watch, when we see a new vid. posted) I’ll send a self adressed envelope, postage paid, & enough scratch to cover any expence incured while producing said pic. I don’t mean to sound demanding (or desperate) but a signed copy of your book, when it’s ready, would be a treasure I’m sure.
Great job!! Bravo, glad to see you on the show again. It seems like you are able to reach people in a large way. hope to keep hearing from you the next four years and hope you are able to stay for much longer.(greencard and all) well thats if you want…lol Great job again!
I prefer capitalism, but a little bit of socialism in the mix is good. I’m in the argumentative mood, as usual, so anyone who wants to argue, don’t hold back. Otherwise, I can assume that everybody agrees with me.
Do you mean like Capitalism With a Heart, who would argue that’s a bad thing… some may & at what point is Compassionate capitalism considered weak and ineffective?
On the capitalist side, when taxes are too high, or too low, or the level of graft stifles the economy, or the infrastructure is inadequate….or when law and order is not maintained, or too much government intervention. Free trade is necessary, too. The list is longer. So, there is much to be improved upon in any economy. On the socialist side, there needs to be support for those who are physically unable to work. And for those who need work, there should be adequate support to get them back into a job. Medical care should be universal. K through 12 education should be world class. As an American, my opinion is that there is much to improve upon. The rabid partisanship between the Democrats and Republicans serve to make the U.S. less than it could be. The press is big part of the problem.
As a casual observer from Canada, seems the two parties need each other. Seems when Clinton was in office, much of what would be considered his success was due to having a republican congress. And Bush… well… He needs Marina to help him with some words so he can communicate why the heck he does some of the things he attempts. Even Bush’s strongest supporters rue his unwillingness to reveal his, or his think tank’s, strategies.
Where I live.. B.C…. the provincial government is run by the “liberal party”, which most people voted for because of their conservative views on less government intervention. When they came into power, it cost a lot of people their cushy jobs & pensions, and at first, seemed totaly heartless in their approach to policy (because they had a majority). The official opposition, the NDP (new democratic party) is the left leaning party, with a little (lot) more of a socialist agenda. They spent (and wasted) way more money than they ever expected to bring in, when just a few years ago they had their “kick at the cat”.
How “conservative ” is the “bush admin.” if it spends way to much $$$ jeperdising the future with debt. I run a couple of buisinesses & the most dangerous thing I face is debt. enough outta’ me now. cheers.
@BillyB
The 2 party system funcctions barely adequately, if there is some measure of compromise. The tension between the Left ‘n’ Right is so hard nosed nowadays (it isn’t the first time in history it’s been so bad) that compromise is a rare bird. Not good if there is an emergency where we need to take action.
Right now, banks are not loaning money. The simple plan is to free the banks of their bad mortgages so they can make loans again (that’s what capitalism is about). The government is to come in and buy bad mortgages at a huge discount and hold them for a while until there is a profit to sell them. 60% of these bad mortgages are in places people want to live: Florida and California, and population is on the rise. Those houses will sell and so the costs are basically a great investment that will yield a profit. The gov is the only org that is long-sighted enough and rich enough to be able to do this kind of deal. So 700 billion dollars is actually a smart investment instead of a give-away.
Why’d the banks give “no money down mortgages” in the first place… greed & record profits?
I know when we (wife & I) first got a mortgage in the 80’s, interest rates were sky high & we had to scrape & scrimp & work two jobs to first come up with a down payment & then make the monthly payments (I think it was @ 14.5%… went up to about 19% later) & after about 5 years of this our house value dropped from $83,900 to, when we had to sell, $60,000, too bad we couldn’t keep that house & rent it out, because we had over the 5 or so years paid extra against the principal & accelerated the ammortization with biweekly payments & had only 7 years left to pay on a 25yr mortgage. But we had to take the equity in the house, for a downpayment on a house to fit our expanding family. Fortunately we made it through, because a few years later, interest was low & the house prices rose sharply. To have that old house, still rented out, would have been a real bonus, but rules were… “need downpayment”. The banks broke threir own rules & suffer for it. It is a sad situation down there & it has affected the Canafdian banking system as well, but it should be OK here. Hope some wise choises are made now & it works out for our southern neighbours…
I still think the two parties there. although strongly opposed, need each other, to try & keep some accountability & I agree (it happens up here) the press is no help, the opposition to any forward progress seems to get the loudest airplay & stymies the good as much as reveals the bad. I know that sounds kind of generic, meant to be, but the media thrives on “controvesy” & it sells (like sex does) Cheers.
I emailed him a letter Marina. But not just to say how great it is to see you on his show. I did that, but I asked him to ask you more questions. For example. I know that Language study in Russian schools is top notch, but not all students of a language take it the extra step and learn to research the language they are studying, and get a degree in etymology of that language. In addition, if you are interested in etymology, did you attempt to learn the etymology of Russian words, or has English always been an abiding interest for you? If so, why? That’s what I’ve always wanted to know about you, but none of the “journaists” that ever interview you ask that sort of “real” question. They simply toss softball questions about word origins, or comment on your popularity or hotness. I miss real journalism. Anyway, I do love you, and your site, I just want to know more about you, not just your image. Tschuss!
Hello jindai, great comments and questions.
Regarding your comment, “I miss real journalism”, your questions might be answered in Marina’s upcoming (2009) book.
If you have time to read similar comments as yours, go to the “My Upcoming Book” page where Marina elicits comments like yours for her book.
You can find the link by clicking the HOME link on the upper left of the page and then scrolling down towards the bottom, center column where you’ll see the Voting section and “My Upcoming Book” link

Great interview Miss M. You have Bill O’Reilly figured out. You know what to say when he wants to here it so that keeps him happy and you going back again. Congratz again for a job well done.
well, M is obviously happy to be a propaganda tool. But i can’t say i think that’s something to celebrate.
d’oh .. sorry .. i’m being dense!
Good appearance on O’Reilly Marina. You get better and better! Look more comfortable too, at ease.
I was reading a story and the word “Bibulous” was in the first paragraph. Never had seen it before. An offering for you word origins list. I doubt many others will be running across it though!
That was another great segment on “The Factor,” Marina. And the above video was put together well. Thanks again.
For good measure, here is the FOXNews.com video of Marina’s third “Factor” appearance: http://tinyurl.com/43bhdp
Reading the comments below me, it seems many of you guys don’t like Bill. As a regular viewer, listener to “The Radio Factor,” and BillOReilly.com premium member, it’s disheartening to see, but that’s your opinion and I won’t try to change your mind. I will say, though, that we’re not sheep. The e-mails read at the end of the show are a good example. They vary in opinion. Also, Marina’s appearances are taped a day in advance to air the next day and additional pictures, video, audio, and graphics are edited in.
What are names for civility? Great job of explaining the thought process; brought on by human nature ect………..
Marina excellent interview. You were very interesting you looked so beautiful. and you have a beautiful personality 3rd time congratulations Looks like good things coming your way Happy for you what’s next the tonight show
Marina, great job on “The Factor”
You were not a popinjay.
Are they thinking of having you on as a regular guest?
Far out! Marina is fortunate in that she
doesn’t face the difficulty of voting this year.
Hopefully, in four years, there will be a better
set of candidates from which to choose.
It is so nice to see her smiling during these
interviews with Bill O’Reilly. She is a natural.
right on—thought you might like this. if you did not know of it before http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INIlBylm56Q
mijj,
check out this video. i guess you don’t understand shit because it’s in german. but it’s so fucking amazingly done.
thought it would be of interest to you.
Very impressive effects.
i love those things ..
… plus .. i might add .. because you understand the language, you’ll never be able to hear it as i do.
– there’s definite music to language you don’t understand.
Listening to it is like seeing a stormy, choppy sea with an occasional recognised word like “pony” or “brown bear” leaping out like some kind of sea creature.
Sweet, great job Marina. Again, I didn’t see it in the list, so how about absolutley; as in Marina is absolutely gorgeous
Okay, flattery might not get me every where, but it’s always worth the shot
umm … why were you holding up three fingers when you said “another four years”?
P
You are getting so good at this. I even think Bill was happy too.
I can read his face and he was interested in what you were saying.
O’Reilly seems to ask you on his show more often. Does it have something to do with this upcoming election?
Per your request, I e-mailed Mr. O’Reilly and said I enjoy your appearances on his show. I also suggested he try economic terms next tune, wirh words such as recession, depression, boom, bear, bull, etc.
And I noticed you wore a short skirt to the show, too. They should be nicer to you. I’ll e-mail them again.
Your dear student, seesixcm6
I didn’t tell them that the camera crew didn’t give you very good lighting. They had a light shining down on you from a high angle, so that it emphasized the lines on your face, such as bags under your eyes. That wasn’t nice. They don’t do that to Mr. O;Reully. They should have used more diffused lighting. Bad, mean camera crew.
ASSHOLE!! HOW DARE HE SAY.. “THE WORD LADY”
ADRESSING YOU IN SUCH A COMMON FASHION..However he didn’t interrupt so much.. GOOD
Down James! Down! That’s a good boy. *give you a doggy treat.
I am called syndrome when a dog ….
Down syndrome… Down!
If an aerodrome is a place for playing with aeroplanes, what is a syndrome?
I understand your frustrations James. But in certain circumstances calling a lady a “Lady” is quite a compliment. Now if he would have called her “this woman” is appearing on my show then those are fighting words. I consider Marina very much a Lady a classy Lady at that.
Hello Marina,
Enjoyed your appearance on the Bill Oh Really! show.
Is it just me…? or are all these shows running at “hyper-speed!!!”.
I bet Tommy Chong and the like couldn’t fit a sagacious comment in without
Bill interrupting… or the topic gets changed half way through to something else.
A person almost needs a Ritalin to cope!
it’s kind of sad that Marina’s being ensnared into being a regular on Bill O’Rilley’s show. (but not for M, obviously)
I don’t know to what extent M was aligned with BR’s way of thinking originally, but it’s obvious the more she appears on his show, the more M takes on his world view.
yeah, and i don’t understand why people keep confusing socialism with stalinism. i’d rather work _with_ people and share than work against people. i guess i’m more interested in people than in money. and, to quote a politician from over here: “democratic (!) socialism does not mean to be poor, it means to be against poverty.”
how the hell can that happen that people let other people, poor people, people in need, down? how is it possible that hospitals / doctors don’t treat people because they can’t come up with a certain amount of money? how is it possible to let people die because they don’t have certain amount of money? that’s fucked up and really perverted. i’ll never understand that.
I can’t understand that either.
Here in Canada, you can be a “nobody financially” and get good medical treatment anytime-anywhere. We respect others irrespective of their wealth. We contribute some of our tax dollars for the purpose of this. It’s an important way of making everyone important… when it comes to health issues.
Hey aLx, I agree with everything you say, but I do have an answer to your question regarding “why people keep confusing socialism with stalinism.”
The answer is not that they are confused about it, many people (like Bill) are underhandedly promoting a certain point of view. They purposely try to confuse the issues to get their followers to follow like sheep and not think for themselves as you do. Thinking is bad in some circles.
I can talk months on this topic. If you want to know more, message me on my YT account.
i dont think M was confused about socialism .. she was being compliant with the undercurrent and knew what BO wanted to hear.
I believe the notion of socialism is corrupted in the US because the system there depends heavily on the alienation of the individual from society. Divide and conquer.
oh yeh .. once the class system becomes entrenched and there’s little movement across the boundaries, then there’ll be little need for systems designed for social security because those in power will never feel the personal need for it.
sicko check out the clips.
Don’t be soooo sad mijj. I’ve been watching M since she first started and she has addressed similar questions as yours, e.g. “…take on his world view.” M has explained in the past that she is there to promote herself and prefers to stay neutral when it comes to politically divisive issues.
By the way, now that you bring it up, I was fascinated how M answered Bill when he asked her whom are you going to vote for. I loved M’s laugh, and she gracefully answered and was saved by a technicality. (i.e. she can’t vote yet) Like Bill said in the last interview, “You gotta love her.”
Incidentally, Obama girl originally avoided being pegged, but later came out in favor of Obama and then has made a video about why she is a Democrat. I don’t know how that has affected her fan base, but I would advise M to avoid religion and politics at all costs, unless it is her calling to speak out. Those are highly emotional topics that one can’t win as you already know.
Hey, look on the bright side, maybe Bill is taking on M’s world view. And, who knows, before you know it M will own her own show, “The M Factor” and will own Fox. OK, better now?
oh .. i dont think it’d be difficult to avoid being partisan in all this.
M needs to earn a crust. BO is an avenue for creating income. There’s no social safety net over there for M, so she knows there’s little room for personal integrity.
BO requires compliance. It doesn’t matter if M actually believes what she says. The new cartoon villain in the US eternal war strategy will be Russia – M will be useful because of her background. And BO knows M will produced discussions and definitions that will be angled to benefit his purpose. …
… etc etc etc.
.. the first sentence doesn’t seem to belong in there .. all on its own .. ignore it.
Hey mijj, good comments above and so true, esp. “…the notion of socialism is corrupted in the US because the system there depends heavily on the alienation…”
yeh … we’re getting more and more like that in the UK.
There’s heavy propaganda that the world is full of things to fear and hate and the only hope is a strong militarized prying state to protect us. We have to shut ourselves in, lock the doors and be suspicious of everybody.
especially communist zombies.
Marina’s not ensnared by being lazy or as they say “just putting your time in”; the value of pay is corrupted by inflation and hard work is something a socialist dreams of capitalizing in and on from a boring existence. Education should form to protect the common free people from the yokes of the educationalist and their effeminate eugenics. Work does not set everybody free but, don’t make me work free.

i’m not sure what you mean by:
‘Marina’s not ensnared by being lazy or as they say “just putting your time in”‘
forget about the fixation on money .. wealth’s a false ideal..
.. it’s about the quality of life .. and, significantly … not just for you at the expense of others, but you enjoy that everyone has a good quality of life. (erm .. if that makes sense).
the money fixated tend to believe in the zero sum game .. i.e. .. if i benefit, then someone else has to suffer. They usually invoke evolution and the survival of the fittest.
Capitalism requires a an idealised desire for money … and in capitalistic societies, wealth and the associated superficial glamor is promoted as the pinnacle of existence.
for some, money may lead to an increased quality of life, for others, it won’t. .. money is a means, not an end.
Sooo interesting mijj…
I agree with everything you say – but from an entirely oppsite perspecive (maybe)…
In my view, the ‘have nots’ are conditioned to believe all is about what you get..
I’ve chosen to go after it and would like to keep what I’ve earned…
cool as beans, green or before they sprout
Hi Marina, ah oh… you did a bit of an exaggeration
on the word LIBETARIAN
Here is the definition from
“World’s Smallest Political Quiz”
http://www.theadvocates.org/quizp/
“LIBERTARIANS support maximum liberty in both personal and
economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one
that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence.
Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose
government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate
diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.”
I took the test and I’m a solid Libertarian!….
I am NOT an Anarchist!
Marita, Where are YOU on this scale?
Results are placed on a nice X-Y graph.
Other results include: Left Liberal, Centrist, Right Conservative and
Statist (Big Gov)
Otherwise, you did great. I sent a variation
of these comments to Bill O
TECH: I posted this yesterday it appeared before you shut down
additional posts to the site and it appears that my post was lost
so I am reposting.

Great Interview! I requested Liberal & Conservative on the Dem. & Rep. lesson. It was so cool to learn the word origins! Thank you!

Great interview… he’s learning not to talk over you and giving you more air time! That’s a good thing!
Marina,
Very nice presentation.
What kind of assignment has he given you for your next visit?
Hopefully it’s something along the lines of voting terms. (And not just chad)
Marina,
You did great on O’Reilly’s show and I hope that you make appearances regularly. Keep the podcasts coming.
Take care!
sigh.. … very pretty ‘n all (bill too) .. but .. tsk .. that guff about socialism. .. the things people do to earn a crust.
Hello Marina,
Another excellent appearance on that show.
You showed poise while in a seemingly tense situation all the while exuding confidence.
Looking ahead, maybe it’s time for acting classes.
Congrats My Dear Marina! Good Job! I just love to see my friends on TV.
Im beginning to like Bill more and more. I might even start watching his show regularly. I need a TV first. Oh wait I have one on my other yacht. I have to many boats. I need to get rid of a few.
P.S. Thanks for uploading the TV spot. I was just getting ready for bed feeling a bit blue that I wasn’t going to see it today. I’ll sleep better now that you posted it. Tnks!
I noticed that Bill is starting to interrupt less and less with each show. That first show, I could have just clobbered him. The second show he was better and this show he was a lot more relaxed and enjoyed Marina’s company. I think Marina may have a permanent gig on this show.
Word Request:
Marina I hope you don’t mind if I steal the opportunity to request the origin of the word sagacious as it has been applied to me a few times.
You are right…it is because she is handling herself…doing a good job…
I don’t watch any TV. I was told it rots your brain.
So if I start watching Bill’s show then that’s really saying something about Bill.
Permanent gig, Yea I think so to, but just in case not. I wish everyone would take a few moments and write to Bill and voice their appreciation for having our dear teacher on the show.
Great interview Marina, and you were adorable. I loved your dress and hair and you looked absolutely radiant. What’s interesting is how dramatically you are able to change your “look” with the change of your hair style.
As always, I learned a few more things today. I don’t remember when the last time was that I heard of the word necessitarian. I did some research into that word and it opened a floodgate of stuff.
Word Requests: Necessitarianism and Determinism
Could you do a contrast and comparison of these two words and how did the origins of these words come into being?
I second Karls words request of Necessitarianism and Determinism.
Excellant gust spot Marina.
That’s guest not gust.
Guess I was too fast.
and got overly excited
about being the first post.
P.S. Waiting for the “double U” video, reference “Molotov Cocktail” video.
P.S.S. New Word request: “To, too and two”.
I second the word request for “two”,”to” and “too”, also “thule” and “tool”—till next time
