- I am an agnostic… atheism and agnosticism are not religions by the way lol. I would still call it christmas whenever. The UK is so stupid about this at the moment. In Oxford the council changed the name of the christmas lights to the “winter light festival ” to avoid offending Muslims. Funny how we don’t have a spring summer or autumn light festivals though isn’t it. What makes me laugh is that the muslims complained to the council, and said they were not at all offended by the word christmas.. Haha, Good Muslims. They piss me off sometimes but they stick up for england when it comes to political correctness. My town got a small column in the national press because this year the dip-shit mayors stand in banned the 400yr old tradition of firing muskets, because it scared young children and old people (there are a lot of old people where I live) Well how long do the kiddies cry for about 3 minutes? they are given a warning….. My heart bleeds, It’s not like there were not enough fireworks that they enjoyed a month before is it…. And old people still know what a musket is. We are given the impression they are curled up in a corner of a dark room rocking back and forth scared stiff. Its not like they are firing the musket in a nursing home. its in the middle of the square, and its not like they are firing in the middle of a meternity ward either.. It makes me so pissed off
