I don’t want to Eigg you on but Islay a pound to a penny that someone will get upset about your Rum sense of humour and Storm away in a huff, unless they decide to grab you by the Collar and throw you into a midden full of Muck, and I Canna say I would blame them.

  The original settlement was established at what is now called Old Aberdeen at the mouth of the River Don. Over the years the city expanded southwards and the centre of gravity gradually shifted to be nearer the River Dee.
  It has been suggested that the name of Aberdeen rather than Aberdee was a compromise designed to incorporate the names of both rivers.
