id-ol-s-pizeIdolspize: despising your idol.

Keeping with the American Idol theme.. I would say that Ryan Seacrest idolspizes Simon Cowell.

Do you idolspize anyone?

  1. Paula Abdul Leaving ‘American Idol’Access Hollywood – August 4, 2009 8:27 PM PDT

“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #Idol,” she posted on her Twitter page. “I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day1become an international phenomenon.”

  2. Idolspize, huh i suppose someone would have to define idol for me [idol]

Why would I despise someone for their difference in artistic taste or expression? That just does not make sense to me. :???:

  4. Good frickin’ grief!
More pap for the masses?????????
When can we get back to the show!
    Are you going brain-dead?

[frankly] American Idol has no reach beyond the U.S.
    I don’t idolspize anyone.

  6. animalntaz says: 16

I don’t even have any “idols” to despise in the first place.

World leaders. By virtue of their position they are bigger than life. Living Idols. Yet one may not agree with their actions and policies. Or, how they obtained their position.

I’ve seen a total of about 5 minutes of American Idol. I just don’t understand the appeal.

    • I hear ya. I remember maybe a couple of seasons ago where I was so out of touch from even watching American Idol, that it took me weeks to figure out that Sanjaya (if that’s how his name is spelled) was a contestant on that show, when I overheard a joking reference that I didn’t get. I honestly thought that Sanjaya was some sort of exotic fruit, or a coffee bean or something.

I can’t connect with this one… sort of an oxymoronic, mishmash of nonsense.

I don’t despise anyone, nor do I idolize anyone either, so I can’t make use of today’s “nerd word.”

Being the only Idol on the block I guess I would be the only one everyone would Idolspize. Now I have Idolized things which is a name all the guys I worked with hung on a project when I fixed something that was broken. So if you Idolspize me let me know and we will just laugh it off and carry on. Marina where did you find this word? I think it’s a cool way of me telling someone that I despise them and not be serious, but be able to laugh about it at the same time and make a joke.

The last two nerd words have negative connotations directed at other ppl.

Is this just a coincidence or is your subconscious in play here :???: :???:

  14. Ouch. “Despise” seems too harsh a word to use. I don’t think Ryan Seacrest “idolspizes” Simon Cowell. Going with “IDOLSPUMES” instead.

Marina is tweaking the site again,
Hang on gentleman it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

  16. bigbhd95 says: 5

What sort of a soul would evaluate someone as an idol and then despise that someone?
