Oooh, you were on sabbatical while that all happened. Fans kept referring to her dog as “Gorby,” so she changed his name from Kobe to Gorby — thinking it better to honor Mikhael Gorbachev than Kobe Bryant. The dog accepted the name change, and has been Gorby ever since (late fall last year, I think it was.)
