    Kakaka! You got me with your April Fools joke. As much as I am a fan of Marina, I was shocked by her replacement of Maria. Were those your Russian grandmas in Maria’s video? All’s better, except I can’t get the image of those chocolate mice out of my mind. Yum!

    Somebody please do the following:

    Go to the Sexy Geek voting page 1
    Vote for Marina and against Phil
    Record the 2 figures after you cast the votes
    Come back here
    Go back to the Sexy Geek voting page
    Check the numbers

    I just did this. After my votes, Marina showed 34,660+, Phil showed 7864-
    I returned to this page and immediately went back to the Sexy Geek page

    I found Marina 34659+, Phil 7863-

    My Marina vote was gone. My Phil vote was gone. Both boxes, or arrows, were colored green and red respectively, which kept me from recasting my votes.

    Somebody please look at this!

      Hi originalistrick,
      I’m still 45,000 feet from home. When I get back I will post the rules for the voting again.
      Quick heads up; you can only vote once per 24 hrs. If the 24 hrs have passed and you see the bright red and green colors, then the cookies did not reset.
      You can reset your cookies or use other link, but then it is pain to find the entries.

      Hello originalistrick,
      At this very moment (7:29 AM), Marina has 34662 votes.
      Guess who tacked on those 2 votes after you registered 34,660? You guessed right. One vote was on my iPhone and one was on my desktop.

      I also had an issue voting, and noticed that there is a problem with the Wired.com site in terms of getting that page loaded properly. It looks like the page is hanging on some sites that are not loading the photos properly. “Flickr” takes forever to get loaded. Look at your status bar when loading that Sexy Geek page.

      I was able to resolve the voting by clearing my cookies.
      Keep in mind, clearing your cookies does not allow you unlimited voting. It just resets those bolded red/green colors back to the muted colors, so you can hit the vote button again.

      Keep in mind, just because the number goes up, does not mean that the vote registered. To verify that your vote was actually registered, just refresh the page after voting. If the number sticks, then the vote was registered. Your vote can only be registered once every 24 hours.

        Thanks for your votes BillyB and I’m sorry about those issues.
        Not much I can do as it is a problem with Wired’s web site or more accurately said, the links to the images that they are connecting to. Too bad that they couldn’t cache those images on their server.

        Later, I’ll do a write up on three steps to take to ensure that the votes are registered.

          Thanks, PK, and everybody else. I knew about the rules, clearing the cookies, etc. Since it happened to me three times in a row, and never before, I must say I was getting suspicious. I’ve voted every day since this started except for three or four, and have never seen this happen.

      Hope you weren’t upset the other night, when the Canucks Tagged the Hawks, just a little pay-back for ealier in the year. playoffs should be interesting this year, at least we’re in. After January almost looked hopeless. What happened eh.

        not really. But the fight was awesome! Yep the western conference playoff race is very contending at this rate. It was almost hopeless when Luongo was out of action for several weeks. Only 6 games left right now.
