I contributed a little bit to the Society For Geek Advancement, which was founded upon the principles that we should all embrace our inner and outer geek and have fun while doing it.  There are some heavy hitters who participated in this video, including my new friend :-)

    Marina and the Woz!!! Those of us who remember the first Apples are envious of you! :twisted: (Oh…maybe we should envy Steve as well. :razz: )

    Yeah, and those of us who were stuffed into garbage cans by jocks, who saw “Revenge of the Nerds” as a political statement, can really get behind the idea of a “Society for Geek Advancement.” :grin:

    yo, marina. i thought the “society for geek advancement” was amusing. but when you said you were donating to the cause i had to wonder, “isn’t that a waste of money?” but upon further investigation the charity that the “society for geek advancement” supports is room to read what a great initiative. i’ve never encountered this charity until now, i am recommending them to followers and friends, and i plan to contribute as well. what good is a geek without a goal?

      It looks like that might be similar to The Central Asia Institute.
      I learned about this from the book I am currently reading (fun book for Summer break). This looks like a truly remarkable organization. I am still researching them, but so far I am extremely impressed. :cool:
