No, Marina, you are not stupid – how could you be when your life’s work is to educate us your students?

Your book finally arrived through my letterbox here in England. I have got as far as the History lesson and want to thank you for imparting the knowledge that female chauvinists can and do exist. i’ve never met one, but that could change. One thing I do not do when I am reading your illuminating and exciting book is [yawn]. I had to stifle one of those the other evening while playing the card game [bridge].

I’m a bit late getting to this word, but when I clicked on the link that led to the Phobia List and looked at it i noticed there wasn’t a phobia beginning with the letter “q”. May I suggest [quasimodophobia] might mean fear of hunchbacks?

That bit caught my eye too! I saw the film before I new about “Hot For Words” Marina, or else I would have looked out for her beautiful and distinctive face. Great article, full of well-deserved [plaudits]. I like the soubriquet “linguist with lingerie”; it fits in well with your strapline “Intelligence is sexy” Keep up the good work and make mega-bucks, Marina!
