Marina, I have to disagree with r0bw00d's comment on YouTube for the Lakers lesson. I think the cascade on your right can use a little adjusting snips. Also, there was no need for you to admonish us to not laugh at the outtakes -- there really wasn't anything funny there.

Same for me too. I just blocked it with my adblocker software. I have slow internet here. Just waiting for WiMax to come to Clearwire then I'll have some acceptable speeds and greater range. I'm exited about this WiMax because I've heard of ranges of about 10 to 20 miles off shore and 30 miles on land. All this at about 6mbps.

Yeah that's an old marketing trick that the industry practices often. They take the same box and strip things out of it to lower the cost to meet your price point. DvD and VCR players are a good example of this practice. The guts in most of them has not changed in years but the outsides change very year. I found a cheap DVD player and it had buttons removed from the mother board to down grade it. It was the same board for the expensive DVD player. The idea is you're paying for the 'access' to the features and not really the hardware. It's cheaper for the company to manufacture one product and then add or remove features to fit everyone difference in price points. The main goal of product sales it to find a way to get you to part with your money every year or so. It looks good to the investors.

You won't know what the next major upgrade is for they are working very hard to keep it all under wraps for obvious reasons. Playing the next upgrade race is a no win. It's like a freeway. Just get on the damn freeway and drive. Technology changes everyday. Just buy what you wish to pay and go with that. As for the OS just get what comes with the computer and upgrade later. It's only $129 to upgrade the OS. That's where the meat of the Apple is at. Apple does give discounts or free upgrades if they buy just before an upgrade. For example I bought an iMac G3 years ago and they came out with a brand new iMac G3 with more ram and other features so they upgraded me to the new one. I had to wait an extra month to get it but no worries. Apple tends to be rather fair when it comes to things like that.
So I suggest you just go out and get one now. Don't put it off. You'll end up in a rut of the upgrade anxiety.
