I worked as a security guard in an art museum. They actually want you not to make eye contact, which gets the patrons ignoring you. You can get all kind of observations out of the public.

The New Testament, like the Old Testament, references Sodom as a place of God’s anger against sin, but in the Epistle of Jude provides a certain class of sin as causative of its destruction, the meaning of which is disputed.

The Greek word in the New Testament from which the phrase is translated “indulging in gross immorality”, or in some Bibles, “giving themselves over to fornication”, is “ekporneuō” (“ek” and “porneuō”). As one word it is not used elsewhere in the New Testament, but occurs in the Septuagint to denote whoredom (Genesis 38:24 and Exodus 34:15).

nice idea. yeah, that’d be good. i haven’t encountered much visual documentation about how public art impacts human behaviors. i’d like to see different pieces compared as well. these public pieces are very much like watering holes for the mind. perfect place to observe human behavior. the anthropologist in me would like to measure how long people paused, their movements and all those details. the photographs could be really interesting.

perhaps the lack of substance was itself a statement? um… doubtful. i dig your pics. the pics of photographers taking pics… it would be interesting to document the “life” of an public art piece by taking pics of the people who interact with it over time. i’ve noted how people occupy certain viewpoints at certain times of the day to observe a piece. example of the influence a piece may have on human behavior and their sense of beauty.
