Interview for the Examiner
Here is an interview I did for the Examiner. It’s pretty extensive, so if you have time, pop on over to the article and let me know what you think

["2 face democracy"]…
I am a fan of American land.
My word and phrase request
Two girls who wore your shiny WHITE VINYL CHEERLEADER BOOTS used to really turn me on in junior high! I even referred to them in THE ARENA too. I really dig your shiny white vinyl cheerleader boots and the legs that go with them!
Some college prof told me after class in 1984 at U of Toledo that he could not afford to properly support his family on his college professor’s wages. And he told me it was not worth going to grad school to get a PhD to become a colelge professor. At least he was honest so I would not give out his name.
[Living high off the hog]. But my parents grew up poor in the depression and WWII. So everything “extra” seemed like a “luxury” to them. And the word [minimalist] which I had read in a camera brochure for an expensive camera which I no longer wish for.
Living ‘high off of the hog’ or ‘high on the hog’ refers to the fact that the best cuts of meat come from the top of the hog. Hams, picnics, and loins.
Thank you.
Marina!
Found a comment thread under help requesting assistance in changing their i-mail address on file. Post had no serious answer. Seriously, how do we access our account? Also would like to know why you create our passwords for us, which we will never remember, rather than letting us choose our own?
Hello quiziq,
Look at the top right of the page
and you’ll see a link called Dashboard.
When you click it, look for a link
called Profile. It is on the Profile
page where you can change your
password and email adr.
If you need further help, just reply
to any of my comments.
Thanks Pedantickarl!
I had checked out the dashboard, but failed to see the profile option. If you look closely, it is qiziq without the “u”.
Sorry qiziq, I should have used
the copy – paste feature on my
iPhone as I just did.
I believe a truer definition of “Arrogance” would be someone believing that a simple compliment directed towards someone they don’t know, by someone they don’t know has anything whatsoever to do with them. Or, that it gives them the right to respond to it, especially in such a rude and nasty manner.
Is this Marina’s sister in this Rock video?

The interviewer seems obsessed with categorizing Marina. Somebody give him Peyote. I like how the article uses Marina’s initials without periods: MO. It’s cute, and I hardly ever use that term, cute. If I may stray from the topic, and ask Marina a question…isn’t it interesting that a man can speak French in Russian?

Hotforwords has already grown beyond the 15 minuetes of fame stage. I said from the day I started with your website, you know exactly what your doing and it works for me. I love it!
Very nice interview.
I was wondering why your videos had been shortened in delivery.
Good interview
Now I need to think if I can make that any shorter and to the point
So, Marina, if a guy starts an YouTube channel with intellectual content, should he appear wearing dresses like the one you tweet about here?
nice interview!
and it made me thinking about a word that you said: [et cetera]
I have nothing to say, my experience here has evolved to [voyeurism].
Which are (or were, if they no longer exist!) the “intellectual videos that {you} found interesting {on YouTube}”?
another great interview.
From what I am observing, your 15 minutes are just beginning. There are big things in your future Marina Orlova.
Q: How can you tell how important HotForWords is?
A: When an iJustine viewer asks iJustine
if she has ever met HotForWords.
iJustine said yes, at YouTube live.
(ref: Ask iJ #14: Rapid fire questions!)
Gotta love it.
Marina, I really enjoyed reading this interview.
The graphic struck me funny. Brains over Bras.
I can just see HotForWords making a video that says;
“But, isn’t the brain always over the bra anyway?”
(Referring to the head over heels video.)
I loved the part where you said;
And, you you get thanks from men also, like me, for standing up against the old stereotype.
I also agree with you when you said;
I’ll work on that.
I also loved when you said:
Of course that’s why God gave us two ears and one mouth. Listen twice as much as you talk. Very good advice.
Wow, this is a very recent interview that happened within the last three days since you talked about the death of Michael Jackson.
Excellent interview.
Oh yeah, after you finish reading the article
don’t forget to look at the slide show.
I thought I had seen every photo ever taken of Marina and
come to find out there were two new ones I hadn’t seen. Lucky me.

You may be from Russia, but you certainly embody the spirit of American entrepreneurship. You created your own business and through your own ideas and hard work, made it a success. It is not only a pleasure to watch and listen to your videos, it is a pleasure to have you as part of this country.
Wishing you even more success.
Mike
god, how i hate arrogant people like you. like entrepreneurship is an “american” thing or invention. no, her “spirit” is, at most, the spirit of entrepreneurship — which you can find everywhere. that’s all. there are entrepreneurs all over the fucking world. even in russia. ignorant fuck.
Marina in Russia would be a fairly common encounter but here she is uncommon to us, the accent adds to the mystery. My own experiance and opinion from years traveling and studing in Russia, If the Soviets had ever wanted to win the cold war a batallion of average Russian Women led by one Babushka [old woman](who are fearless) could have defeated us easily. I have rarely encountered an American woman as diligent or who works as hard, Russian women are strong willed talented and cultured they provide for thier children and families go to work earn the money cook clean sew play instruments dance sing they are physically active with sports they carry themselves with pride. when they leave the house for bread you would think they are off to the Opera They stand out in a crowd. Once on my way to consult with the Department Head I passed a woman in the hall I asked the Professor more like told him she is Russian? he replied she was our new Native speaker teaching a course next semester….

Gotta love it!
Twitter is still just a hatched baby bird breaking out of it’s soft eggshell yet within a short period of time has already achieved a certain level of socio-recognized historical impact which I find fascinating. (consider the undercurrent)
What?
Uhura or the Roommate?
Man, it’s so long that I could not read it; now if it were terse, pithy and under 140 chars, then of course I would have read it! But it is so long, so long … .
By the way, I had a math professor who used to use the term “verbal hemorrhage” — I like that expression and use it for people who go blah blah blah. I find it hard to read, let alone use, the comparison you use!
Lucky for me , I have the time…will be back!!:P
