He has some, erm, ‘interesting’ fantasies…

The “Related Videos” list includes one entitled “Return of the naked vlog” – which features a female character that looks strangely familiar…

Are people really confused by the term “pre-order” or are they just making a joke? I have seen that on this site and on YouTube. “Pre-ordering a book” just means that one orders the book before the book is physically made available to retail outlets.

I recognized everyone in the cartoon except for the first lady by the water. I know its not Nat as I don’t think she can juggle. Any ideas folks?

  11. Very funny! The flatulence effect sounds awfully…”accurate”…was going to ask about it, but naw, I don’t want to know.

It’s amusing and cleverly done, but awesome?…
    It’s a much over-used word. :|

    • I think I basically agree with what you are saying about the way in which the word “awesome” is thrown these days. However, I believe that because of the demythologizing of the cosmos in the Post-Nietzsche world in which now live, the nuances of words such as “awesome” and “wonderful” and even “amusement” can probably never be recovered. I think we have to accept the fact that our Weltanschauung has rendered them impotent and learn to live the fact they will continue to live on as shadows of their former selves.

      • Bob says: 4.1.1

You are right that everything changes, and often for the worse; we all eventually will become impotent and shadows of our former selves.
However, I think it’s a shame that, with man’s capacity for invention, we find the need to hijack old but perfectly effective words instead of creatively devising new ones.
I like your videos which are clever and well done, and some of them hilarious, but I think your caricature of Marina is unrealistic and rather unkind, especially compared to your Venetian Princess whose essence you have captured well.
If I hadn’t been told in advance, I would never have recognised Marina in this video.

  13. Marina, if I write a song for you, can I get a free book? LOL

I find this remark by channeIreview funny:

Well hotforwords has a book coming out that sounds like a lot fun and contains words and phrases she has yet to discuss. And yes there will be pictures as well. If your a guy like me who gets the Sunday New York Times just to read William Safire’s “on language” column, then this might be just thing you need this summer. (channeIreview)
