I Love American English… You make it so NOT pusillanimous!

  2. What a fantastic interview! How do you do it Marina Orlova?

“Hot for Words” wearing “Hot Pants” on national morning TV!!! Dr. Sexy. I have not seen a chemistry book for over two decades out of deliberate hate for my foes, but isn’t there a capryillic acid in Organic Chemistry? Maybe I smell like a goat becuase I have difficulty showering because of my weak legs and my heart.

Now them hot pants of yours is what old Michelle from down the street used to wear in the summer in high school. I was going to say outwardly outside of the differneces in education, you, Dr.Lisa and Michelle from 1975 all are similar a ibit. do you like
Barry Manilow like Lisa and Michelle did? I had lust for Dr. Lisa too. You and your hot pants remind me of Michelle in high school. She and her sisters even wore hot pants to church on Sunday she said.

no need to be nervous. :P

  8. Great show, Marina; your explanations tripped off your pulchritudinous tongue and your Russian accent certainly makes you sound sexy and of course intelligent. Keep it up, we can’t get enough of you!

You give your students so many kisses, I’m surprised you haven’t covered [kiss] yet.

Still interested in [rack and ruin] given our economic situation – [rack and ruin] means utter destruction. Found interesting stuff here

    http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/rack-and-ruin.html

I guess someone was ruined totally after being tortured on a rack.

[road to ruin] might be related as it was a nineteenth century play, a 1928 silent film, a 1934 talkie, a Ramones album in 1978 and a song in 1991 by Mr. Big and in 2004 by The Libertines.

Now, interested in how [rack] went from a medieval torture device to variously a bed and women’s breasts?

Why did they put the word “philology” in quotation mark in a subtitle? Does they dislike this word? Maybe the word “linguistics” sounds more modern for the mass-media?

Pretty Cool! CBS, now. Live television! Was it pretty freaky doing the TV live? I do not think I would have too much problem on TV, but live? Great job, M’Lady. BZ2U

  12. Great interview Marina!!! I hope to see more of them in the future.

  13. tonyb says: 14

YOu have a softer and kinder voice than the american news lady. Maybe that is why people like the sound of your sweet voice so much. I got Russia on my mind.

 Great interview Marina and it’s a good thing I viewed this posting first, I was actually going to submit a word request on the “Meet-Up in NY” post for the word “Formication” today.

I just watched The O’reilly Factor at 5:00 PM PST and didn’t see you appear on there, I don’t know what’s up with that. :???:

You looked a little nervous but you handled yourself well and looked really good in that live situation!

I don’t watch morning talk shows. If I get around to watching TV again, I am more of a late night talk shows kind of guy.

  16. Marina! Darlin’, simply put, you were GREAT! The light of your personality shone like the sun. Congratulations on a wonderful appearance. Loved the goat-speak, too.

    Always.

That was a great interview Marina. Now it’s on to Grauman’s Chinese Theatre to put your mark in the concrete walk way.

Great example of CBS culture: Smart and appealing to older/ rural demographic. All my teachers at USC were CBS producers and the class project I was producer for won the Eric Sevareid award; so I know the network.

Based on that knowledge and also because I (choose to) live in rural Wyoming, I also know it’s imperative that Ms Orlova ALWAYS remember to use the word “please” (buy my book) to overcome any sense (in the uninformed) that she is a hustling showgirl or (in the fan base) that she is post-yacht/lifestyle of “Young Hollywood” taking anything for granted. You’ll notice in this segment, nobody mentioned college degrees. A large number of people at home were going “Who is this chick?” If she’d said “please buy my book” I’d have thought, “Well, she seems nice enough. Maybe I’ll give the kid a break and go look for it.”

At the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance this past weekend with the Governor and Jay Leno, Muffy and Buffy, I discovered that proper manners applied only to the 3% (like myself of course, see my photos by clicking icons). The rest of the mASSes were just cowing around with their Digital Camera Culture: Walking in front of each other’s picture taking without a care because, in the new paradigm, “Nothing means Nothing. Have a Nice Day.”

Gosh, that’s the motto of an upcoming book that uses the longest word in the world (I saw it on CBS- no wait, I saw it on Hot For Words) when the anti-Christ cools global warming the hard way!
In the book, the foreign minister Korlova’s secretary is Ms Orlovakov

      @Capt’n J,

Dear Capt’n J, all your posts are belong to us… Erm… I mean all your posts are belong to very mature wisdom, of course. After carefully reviewing your twitter suggestion, I have decided that I need mucho maturity and poco bravado to pierce my way into this stinky overcrowded savage jung… into this advanced, mysterious and beautiful civilization of ours. For achieving the goal of this very purpose which I fixed upon myself, I armed the same with tenacity and willingness of achievement, and my first objective will be to enter the police academy or even a harvard-winning military academy. I just bought myself a cool-looking insigna (for $9.99 at Target), shined my new pair of boots, my uniform (extremely good deal @ $999.99 plus taxes and shipping) is waiting for me and I am all excited and ready to march to the rythm of authority, discipline, decision making and security. I am anxious (but no worries I am loaded with a lot of self-control) to kick some evil rebel @sses and docilely follow the long lines of my very mature comrades in braincleanliness behind the flag of strategic routine, operational tactics and hierarchical command. I am positively auto-motivated to work hard to grow and expand the powers that be, let it be said, make no mistake about it. I have also become quite an effectively serious, positively influenceable and smoothly manageable no problemo individual now, as I realized that this website is not the appropriate place to keep a copy of my personal diary, and that I should transfer it into a remote secret archive on my personal computer.

Al this thanks to your savvy advices, my good capt’n J. Can you believe it, damnit (ooops.. a revenant from my old macho bravado-ness. I will need to correct this by inserting a feminine flavour into it I guess… ) Thanks again capt’n J.
