A meter is theoretically 1/10,000,000th the distance from the equater to the pole. Because the Eiffel Tower was built more than a hundred years after the length of the meter was settled on (as well as they could determine back then), obviously it had nothing to do with it. Once could argue that the place where the Eiffel Tower sits was used, but why?

No, no, not in pill form, nurse. I need that placebo in the vein. Double strength. I just stayed up for 36 hours straight, no beer, nothing stronger than coffee, intending to stay up another 12 hours. But I crashed. That was 5 hours ago. I’ve just woken up and have to write it down before I forget. It was troubled deep REM sleep, filled with surreal scenes dominated by women from out of my past. Think you’re rid of them and can move on with your life? Ha !
They’re still there in memory circuits in my brain. I was dreaming of these ghosts from the twilight zone, but at the same time trying to reason that this couldn’t be real, and trying to move my body but I was paralyzed…paralyzed with sleep. Then I’d wake up and look up at the ceiling or just at the pillow, only to sink back into dream state. That may have happened as many a 4 times. I’ve forgotten most of who they are now, just 10 minutes after rising from the bed. At least now I know what’s in store for me when I have to, once again, sleep.
