Mike (aka PageDoll) is the next T.A.
My name is Mike (Pagedoll). I live in sunny southern California and am a San Diego native.
My hobbies include, Kicking up the sand in Glamis, “The sand toy capital of the world”. Cruising the beach on my bike. Occasionally racing ABA BMX at the local track, as well as a few nationals. Indoor go-karting, a swift round of paintball, and of course, hanging out on the HotForWords site.
My job is in the construction field, hardwood flooring sand & finish to be exact. I’ve been finishing floors for a little over 20 years now and take great pride in the work I do. My attention to detail has allowed me to work in some of the finest(and biggest) homes in San Diego.
I came across the HFW site over a year ago while clicking through YouTube for the very first time and have been hooked ever since. After watching I said to my self, “This girl is going places”. How understated that was. In the past year I’ve watched Marina go from a kitchen as a background to a blue screen, HD, and Twitpics from Cannes. Something tells me this adventure is far from over! Thank you Marina for taking us all along for the ride with you, its been a blast!!
People have often asked me about my screen name and its origins. This is my brief explanation. I have a wonderful friend named Page. I’ve known her my whole life and care about her as if she were my little sister.
We like going to concerts together, visiting Las Vegas every now and again for a weekend of madness, trying out fancy restaurants, watching episodes of Entourage, and just hanging out. Some words I would use to describe Page would be, beautiful, astute, elegant, witty, charming, and yes, Doll. As for the gravatar, Cinderella, in some ways, reminds me of her.

Years ago (late 70s) I spent a few months doing hardwood floor refinishing. Do you remember “Swedish Finish” (no pun intended), the stuff that burned out your eyes and lungs if you didn’t wear protective gear?
I still remember your “HotForWords Night Before Christmas.” Marina really should have given you some recognition for that!
But the rest of us regulars enjoyed it.

I’m absolutely LostForWords. First and foremost I’d like to thank Marina for having a fantastic website and showing us(wether she knows it or not)just how we can reach unbelievable accomplishments, benchmarks, and success if we are willing to live, breath, and sleep with passion what we truly love and believe in.

For your first duty… you see the mop and bucket over there in the corner? When you do your job well I’ll will promote you to swabby. For now you have to use a tooth brush to clean all 155,400 plus comments on this website until they all shine. If you do well on that, then I’ll let you swab Marina’s decks. You know she has hardwood floors in her new place?

That should be easy. “Don’t feed the trolls!” I.e., just don’t respond to trollish comments, it only provokes more. Which in turn, brings out the troll in the rest of us.
