I feel a lot of sorrow and nostalgia in this song. It’s enough for sorrow and joy at the same moment.

Hey, Marina, maybe “Curiosity Killed the Cat” is linked to “Letting the Cat out of the Bag” ? The negative connotation maybe linked to:
    A cat may look at a king – 1546 A.D.
All cats are gray in the dark – 1596 A.D.
There are more ways of killing a cat than choking it with cream – 1855 A. D.
When the cat is away, the mice will play – 1607 A.D.
My favorite, “Letting the cat out of the bag” is linked to the trick of, while at the market placing a cat in a bag instead of a pig, and making off with the profit before the buyer is aware.

    “Food for thought”
    Sincerely,

    Ron

If you like Twitter Chick please show your support by spreading the word. Thanks – L.A.F.A

Unfortunately, Youtube has refused to spotlight this video, and has been censoring us.(Their words – Not mine) It’s a shame that a site that allows rampant racism, threats and hatred to be spread… with no repercussions… would fail to spotlight a video which took so much of my time and effort to produce because of nonsensical reasons.(They claim that because it cast a negative light on Twitter(which is downright FALSE) they don’t want it featured… and every time it is put up, it is removed within minutes) Like it or dislike it – it’s current, and hasn’t been done before. But a good ol’ tip of the cap and a Thanks to YouTube for being so fair, and AWESOME.
      …thanks again Miss Orlova

True. Marina is “too hot for words”, Marina deserves praise for her beauty. I was saying that on my street that everyone knows and is talking about me having talked to the two kids selling candybars at me door!! Maybe it is because the man to them next door is big and fat and older like me ant that is why they did not mind talkiing outside the house. Is talking to people against the law . lets sue the fuzz in court.

        • pedanticKarl says:

          Hey Hot CK,
the comments with comment numbers 0.x are injected on to the page via tweets whether they have an account on this site or not. Since there is no account reference and therefore no email reference, there can’t be a personalized Gravatar association, so the gravatar shown is a generic one indicating the source from a tweet.

Interestingly, the icon in the upper right under Recent Comments shows the icon associated with the twitter account.

          • Well, that’s news to me. There should be a Site News banner menu item that leads to a list of site features (with links to explanations of how to use them if necessary). This would be a maintained list, that is, there would be no “I am trying out X or Y” like sometimes M remarks, but rather, the final result would be announced, e.g. “You can now do X or Y.” Thus you could look at the list and see each new feature as it happened. If any feature is changed or deleted, then the list would be corrected to reflect that, so it would always be a current list and not merely a history. And every little change should show up there! (It’s a pet peeve of mine that some site’s similar lists seem to be updated only every year or so, making the list absolutely useless for keeping abreast of things.)

To the topic on hand: I went to look at the Recent Comments as you suggested and found that the right page column is an empty, solid light blue. All the content that normally appears there is below the current blog. Is something out of whack?

If there is one computer-generated icon for tweets, why can’t there be a specifically-designed icon for it, say the bird icon or better, an image of the phrase “From Twitter”? Then it would be self-explanatory.

Just out of curiosity, how come somebody is using the handle Hotforwords on Twitter? Doesn’t M have that one?

        • leoNard says:

          How is KNOTS spelt…WOW!…the muther-oade..

          owed

        • pedanticKarl says:

CK, yes, Marnia’s twitter name is HotForWords and the injected tweet above our comments by HotForWords at comment “0″ is Marina’s tweet. When she did that tweet, her Twitter icon did appear in the Most Recent Comments section at the far upper right with the correct image. In the post above, there is a generic icon based on the connection to the site that does the injection which is from twitoaster.com which is a site that synchronizes tweets with blogs, etc.

          Go here:
          http://twitoaster.com/country-.....the-world/

Notice Marina’s tweet at the top is identical to the one above us. Notice the purplish button that says “Embed Conversation”. I call it inject. Scroll down, notice the responses are synchronized to the ones above.

That service looks like one user to this site as if it is doing all of the postings, hence the single gravatar icon for all of the posts. Yes, Marina could go to the gravatar site and upload a gravatar for that service that says “From tweet” or some such thing. Maybe the actual Twitter icon is supposed to carry over to this site and there might be a glitch yet to be corrected.

Regarding your findings and the question you are asking, “out of whack”? The answer is, maybe. Marina did some testing earlier where she will be implementing some new technology. See my obtuse comments with Marina at the top of the Curiosity page.

    • So glad you like it Marina…
