  2. Marina, Is it too late to stop in Cleveland before returning to LA :?: The home of Rock ‘n Roll has radio stations that would enjoy interviewing HotForWords. Check your business mail :!:

  3. Hs4Mm says: 38

How about your appearance on radio tomorrow morning?

  4. titan1912 says: 37

I watched the video you did on “laconic”, and I thoroughly enjoyed it and learned something new. As for the homework you assigned; the opposite of laconic is verbose.

  5. mattym says: 36

Always a pleasure to Marina on The Factor! We also learn something.

  6. Marina, I like the costume in your banner picture eating watermelon and wearing a leather helmet. You look so tough, I’ll bet you even spit the watermelon seeds out. Spittuyee.

For your Halloween monster outside with our damsel in distress, you should put a mini Gorby lifting his leg on the monster.

  7. what is the origin of the word iCE

  19. Bob says: 20

    That’s a busy schedule 18th & 19th August.
Too bad about the ManCow show. Hope they’re not paying by the minute of airtime … or was it a free plug for the book?

  20. 210wjb says: 19

You have nothing scheduled for Labor Day weekend? You should be at Dragon*Con in Atlanta. You would have a lot of fans there!

    xo,

    wjb

  21. Hs4Mm says: 18

You said you would be away for 10 days (10 days LA to LA? 10 days on Foreign Land?) … anyway, is it time to head back? When?

  22. hs4mm says: 17

Wasn’t there an entry for you to go to Phoenix for yet another shoot, this time a video shoot?

  23. hs4mm says: 15

I am guessing your trip to Greece is not about the book but about something else, perhaps that drink. Guess is based on the assumption that travel for publicizing the book would be well planned and be way in advance; and the drink people might have planned the event in advance but decided they need to include you at the last minute (and you did showcase their drink today).

  24. hs4mm says: 14

I hate partial information — what’s the photo shoot at Phoenix for? GoDaddy? Something else? What?

  25. dsfoto says: 13

Busy Busy Busy You Go Girl we are anxious and yet fear that your success will mean we have less of you

  26. hs4mm says: 12

How about Penthouse on Thursday, October 01, 2009?

  27. mattym says: 11

I just found the events calendar, great idea! Can’t wait for your next appearance on “The Factor.” As always, keep it pithy!

Well, keep you ears open! I be the one security is yelling at and running after with a taser gun after I “bum-rush” the front doors to get in and see you!
You think I’m kidding? Just have your pen ready…because unfortunately I’ll be in a huge hurry!

  30. collette says: 8

I think I have a crush on Marina lol JK

  31. hs4mm says: 6

    Right now, instead of 6 Comments on “Calendar” shouldn’t it be 6 Comments and 2 threads on “Calendar” (1, 1.1, 2, 3, 4, 4.1)?

  32. pedanticKarl says: 5

I like the calendar and heads up on your schedule.

  33. leonard says: 4

    I like this…good thinking HotForWords…

Much work is cut for the boss…good luck be with you

  35. hs4mm says: 2

Instead of “double quotes” how about italics as in double quotes? I think it is accepted editorial practice to replace double quotes by italics when double quotes are enclosing titles (and maybe — in some situations — even when they enclose literal quotes of other people).

After writing the above, found that Grammar Girl has written “In some cases you can use italics for titles instead of quotation marks.” with a little bit of elaboration here http://grammar.quickanddirtytips.com/single-quotes-versus-double-quotes.aspx

  36. hs4mm says: 1

Only business? How about Orlando tomorrow? Isn’t trip to Orlando partly business (marketing, celeb word request etc.) for tax purposes?

PS: (For O’Reilly, what is TTBD? You mean TBD?)

PPS: My birthday is in August — was hoping book would come out on my birthday, but it is coming out later.
