   Wait, you forgot milliard.

   - million
   - milliard
   - billion
   - billiard

   I know the French and the British use this as well where a milliard = 1000 million.

   BTW, to make it even more confusing, french Quebec use the European form and the rest of Canada uses the U.S. form.

   As far as I am able to tell, the original billion (a million million) is as good as archaic now in Britain.
