Marina tweeted the following question:-
"What is the #1 complaint men have about women?"
It might be helpful (or the opposite) for people to air their thoughts on that question, and the complementary question with the genders reversed, whether serious or humorous (always remembering that there is many a true word spoken in jest <img src="http://www.hotforwords.com/forums/bb-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_wink.gif" title="" class="bb_smilies" /> ).
My answer was:-
1 Women are too emotional
2 Women talk too much
3 Women complain that men don't listen, but they don't listen to men either.
(Men don't listen because women talk too much, & men tune them out)
(Women don't listen because women talk too much, & you never learn anything when your lips are moving)

Marina also covered gender differences in her videos Women's Dictionary, and Women's Dictionary 2.

Here is another example:-
A French teacher was explaining to her class that in French, unlike English, nouns are designated as either masculine or feminine.
"House", for instance, is feminine: la maison.
"Pencil", however, is masculine: le crayon.

A student asked, "What gender is 'computer'?"
Instead of giving the answer, the teacher split the class into two groups, male and female, and asked them to decide for themselves whether "computer" should be a masculine or a feminine noun.
Each group was asked to give four reasons for their recommendation.

The men's group decided that "computer" should definitely be of the feminine gender ("la computer"), because:
1. No one but their creator understands their internal logic.
2. The native language they use to communicate with other computers is incomprehensible to everyone else.
3. Even the smallest mistakes are stored in long term memory for possible later retrieval.
4. As soon as you make a commitment to one, you find yourself spending half your pay check on accessories for it.

The women's group, however, concluded that computers should be masculine ("le computer"), because:
1. In order to do anything with them, you have to turn them on.
2. They have a lot of data but still can't think for themselves.
3. They are supposed to help you solve problems, but half the time they ARE the problem.
4. As soon as you commit to one, you realize that if you had waited a little longer, you could have gotten a better model.

I've been using Twitter for about a week now, and every time I try to do something, I feel like I'm a dunce. I load TweetDeck and I can't figure out how send a tweet. I find a great link to put in a tweet but I can't make it fit. I open so many tabs in my browser I forget where I am, where I just was and how to get back. I'm awash in newness.

Then I just read an article that made me feel grateful for the whole experience. It turns out that feeling stupid is natural part of being on the threshold of new learning. It means you are stretching your mind. It's ironic. Feeling stupid is a smart thing to do.

Please reconsider the title of this forum after reading the article below and let me know if it applies to you.
