I've seen Pinnacle in use, and all you have to do is point to an area of the screen, tweak a slider to define the range of colours it replaces (there will, after all, be some variation in the exact shade of blue picked up by the camera), then tell it what you want to replace the blue with. In my 22 years I've seen products that where a complete rip off and yet products of less cost out preform others. Some product are just over engineered for most users. The big difference I see in comparable products is MTBF. Mean time between failures. Commercial product are usually have a large MTBF rating. Consumer products may have the same features yet are built with cheaper materials and manufacturing procedures. Sometimes what I will do to save money for a company is purchase 5 units of a product that is 10 times cheaper than the pro version. The idea is in time we would save half of our expenses. Also with they speed that technology is changing buy the time we pay off a piece of equipment there is a better, faster, cheaper product coming out. That said I don't use this decisions for every item I choose. It's a bit more than what they YT user needs but I find the HV-30 for it's price point can preform as well or in some case even better than the $5,000 Pro equipment. I thought you had a tower and a laptop. I think I know what the problem could be. I don't know the model laptops you own. Many of the laptops on board video chips have a difficult time with video. I have a friend with last years top of the line Macbook and it sucks royally with video. I don't think it's directly related to the chip it's self but the feed from the internet to the video. It gets bottled up from time to time. I think it has some relation to bus speeds. Also other applications that draw CPU resources will also cause skipping. What you could do to test this out is upload the problem video and go find a Tower computer Mac or PC, it doesn't matter, and see if you get the same problem. Do find a gaming tower with a good video card. Wow the price dropped! I have been keeping my eye on that cam. I have an old Canon ZR10 that I want to replace. I spent over $1,300 for it. ZR10 does wide screen (cropped) not HD. I never used that feature because nobody was using it. What attracted me to the HV30 is that I can keep the compact size and still shoot HD. I hate carrying around the professional broadcast quality cams. They just make me not want to film anything. They are just way to bulky and HEAVY! Lenses are not the greatest on the HV30 but for what I'm going to use it for no one will notice. Another big thing for me is that it still uses tapes. Yea they suck but what people forget is that when your out on job you need to have something to drop all that data on. Also I never erase my tapes. On a scale of 1-10, I would rate that skip a 3. Further into the video, there are more "skips", of about severity 2-3. I tested with 4 different players with the identical results.</p> <p>When I play the Gorby video on YT in non-HD, I do not detect that same kind of skip.<br /> However, when I play the YT video in HD, then I detect the same type of skip as when I played the video on my hard drive.</p> <p>As an aside, the Gorby FLV video file on my hard drive is 68 MB.</p> <p>Possible Conclusions:<br /> Presuming that you do not hear the skip on your original source file, then the most likely cause of the skip is a glitch in the upload or YT conversion. I've had to re-upload videos, as I think you have had to do also.</p> <p>If you concur that the earliest skip occurs at 0:57, then it means a possible upload issue.
