I keep getting asked how I make my HD videos.. so here is an attempt to explain how.
First of all, I shoot with a Sony HVR-V1U which is an awesome camera. It looks like more camera than it is... it's basically a video camera that shoots in a form of compressed HD. You can get it discounted at Amazon.
I put the camera on a tripod, turn the screen around so that I can see myself and then record.
Then I bring it into my Mac and edit in Final Cut Pro.
I then output the final product at 1280x720 H.264 at 4mbps and 128kbs aac audio actually aac is no good it hickups in HD mode.. I am going (Apple) loss-less audio from now on.
The file sizes are large and it takes forever to compress.. but I think the results are worth the wait.
