It was time to buy a new PC. So, since Windows 7 had a pretty good review here and there, I thought I'd spring for it. Risky, I know. It's pretty smooth, although Explorer is more opaque than the classic Explorer in XP. Otherwise, I like the feel of the new operating system, but a person might want to consider upgrading or repairing their ancient XP computer rather than purchasing Windows 7. Case in point, look at my new desktop. It's a minimalist desktop I created with only one icon, since I stuff my programs in the Start Menu and set up hotkeys for my everyday programs. (I lost patience with icons years ago) And the desktop graphic is black with grey horizontal lines to cut down glare. Notice the box that Microsoft displays when my Age of Empires III game shuts down all of a sudden? The Windows 7 operating system can't handle it, even though, if you look it up, Age of Empires is listed as compatible with Windows 7. Reminds me of the Apple computer commercial with the slender Apple guy talking to the Microsoft slob.

A very strong rendition of the tune. Thanks leonard. I learned to do Classical Gas, in a Mel Bay Intermediate Lessons sort of way, butchering it as I go, a couple of years after it came out, and forgot it for a 3 1/2 decades, but just recently it came back to me. Stored in my brain cells for so long, how do it do it?

@ Muggins. Does Windows 7 have compatibility mode like XP or Vista. If it does you can get your program to run in xp mode or what ever mode works best for you. Right click on the game icon, bring up properties then click on compatibility mode. There you should see what programs you can switch your game over to run on.

@Capman911 - Excellent suggestion.
Although r-clicking on the game icon does not produce a compatibility option,
I did get to Program Compatibility via Help and Support. Wiil work those options during halftime of the Warriors-Timberwolves game. Pretty sure the Steelers will beat the Broncos.Posted 4 months ago # -
