Youtube can't read flash .swf, i need a flv conversion?

Someone told me if i upload a .swf file to Youtube it will convert swf to flv automatically, but when i did that it returns an error: Failed (unable to convert video file), what's wrong? should i convert the .swf to .flv ?

You may want to go here, and convert your file to avi and that should work. It will convert most all files.

it seems that youtube can't convert swf file, you'd better convert swf to flv with h.264 encoder, h.264 and mpeg4 are recommended by youtube. you can go to swf to flv to check useful info.

One other thing, format factory is free! It will convert any file as well. Yes, it is free!
