    While in high security captivity, Hannibal Lecter requested The Goldberg
    Variations by J.S. Bach played by Glenn Gould. Here is that same pianist
    playing a Beethoven conerto, The Emperor, with the Toroto Symphony, in 1970,
    with Karl Ancerl, in a production for TV. Note the folding chair that Gould
    sat on. It was made by his father, and the only chair he used in his career.
    It was only 14" off the floor, and he typically had the piano raised an inch,
    on coasters. Originally, this concert was to feature Arturo Michelangeli,
    but he cancelled at the last moment unexpectedly, and Ancerl had to phone up
    Gould and ask him to step in.
