• How do I request a word?
  All the information to request a word is provided here.

• Why do you want word requests on your website and not emailed to you or on your YouTube channel?
  It is really hard for me to keep track of all the requests for words, so I’d like to have all requests in one location that is searchable by me.  I can search for requests in the comments on my website instantaneously!  Finding them in emails is harder… and finding them on YouTube is basically impossible (Not searchable… yet owned by Google! Go figure!).

• How do I register on your website?
  Sign up here to receive e-cards from me and to be able to request words or make comments on the site.  I will never sell your email address, so you don’t ever have to worry about that!

• How can I be the teacher’s pet?
  Just sign up to this website and make a comment and it will automatically make you eligible to be a teacher’s pet.  Of course, an apple for the teacher, or other such forms of bribery *may* influence my choice! (But you didn’t hear that from me!)

• What are your sources for researching the word/phrase origins?
  I use a multitude of source, some of which can be found here.

• How can I be a teacher’s assistant (TA)?
  If you’d like to be a Teacher’s Assistant, which might actually involve doing something for me, then let the reigning TA know or let me know you are interested.  You can start by being nice to other people in the comments section as it will show me that you will be a good TA.

• How do I get email updates when you make new posts?
  That is a separate process.. sign up here in order to receive email updates whenever I write a post on this site or upload a new video.  You can always unsubscribe from this without losing your account on this site.  It is also 100% secure as the service is owned by Google.

• How do I get one of those cute pictures next to my comments?
  They are called “gravatars” which are Globally Recognized Avatars – would that be part acronym part portmanteau?  Go to this website and register your email address that you used to register on this website and upload a picture and it will show up on all your comments – even retroactively!  It’s a universal service and I think it works on all Wordpress websites you comment on.  If the gravatar does not show up right away, it may be that I am caching the images so it may take a day for it to show up, so be patient, but if it doesn’t show up after a while, email me and I’ll look into it. If you don’t pick a gravatar image, you are assigned a random monster image… but that image will change to your gravatar once you make one.

• How do I do the pretty code and links in my comments?
  I explain everything here.

• Where is your complete list of words? It’s here.

• Are you single? Yes.. wait a minute, that question is not related to the site!  Site questions only!

• How do I link to another comment? When you click the Date & Time of a comment, it gives you the link to that comment.  You can copy it and paste it into another comment to link back to it.

• I have other questions I want to ask you or I think you should add here.
  Good, you can either make a comment in the latest lesson or you can email me directly.  You can contact me here.  But I prefer comments on the videos.. easier to keep track of, and more of a community that way!

• What do you record and edit your videos with?
  The earlier videos were recorded on my MacBook using iMovie and edited with Final Cut Pro.  The later videos are recorded on a Sony Camcorder, but again, recorded directly to my MacBook and edited on Final Cut Pro.  Now I’m going back to recording on my MacBook again at times.. so it varies between the MacBook and the camcorder.
