Over the last year or so, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about how to tell people things. I’m not sure why they choose to ask me, but they do. Every time, I have suggested the same thing. Words. And then, a few weeks ago, I learned about HotForWords, and instantly, I had a much better way of answering these people. Not only did I suggest they used words, I even sent them over to visit Marina’s YouTube channel and get help choosing those words. I have had no complaints yet.

Your lessons are so fascinating! I’ve watched every one of your videos even though I just found you a few weeks ago, and in the past week, I’ve taught 3 friends the meaning of the word “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.” Of course, they looked at me like I was insane, haha. Then they asked me how I knew that and I happily told them! I had been wondering ever since I was little what that word meant, and now I know!
Also, I have a word request. I was going to make a video, but I doubt I’d get up the courage to do it
Could you give a lesson on the word “example?” Or the phrase “for example?” The reason I’m asking is that in writing, when you want to actually give an example, I’ve seen it abbreviated in 3 different ways (ex, i.e. and e.g.). Why is that?

What is the origin of the geological term, orogenesis? There are many ways to teach people new ideas, concepts and words. I think you are teaching a whole new classroom of eager STUDents. Some additional information that your audience will enjoy is how the mechanics of plate tectonics is the driving force of orogenesis.
First the process of orogenesis creates orogenic belts around the world. P.S. Jay, if your reading this. I once knew of a Captain of the tall ship Lady Washington that had a real peg leg. He would even climb up the ratlins with this hand made peg. He preferred it over his normal walking leg because the foot would get caught up in the lines. I freak out when I climb with my own two legs.
